Flux is an immersive textile that weaves together elements of magic and chaos. It defies traditional weaving techniques with leather lace and nylon string to create three-dimensional landscapes that seem to float in mid-air. The translucent layers invite viewers to see through the piece, discovering new perspectives and shadows as they move around it.
Made from leather lace, nylon string, hand dyed beads and Shou Sugi Ban wood, the ancient Japanese wood-preserving technique dating back to the 18th century. Flux is a testament to the beauty of embracing the mess and losing control, creating something structural and alive from delicate materials.
