What We Do
AVO is an artist-led design studio founded by Brit Kleinman. The practice is made up of two parts. Multi-scale, tactile artworks that becomes part of the architecture and the experience of a place. And hand-dyed leathers that move across walls and surfaces like a textile, with the depth and durability of leather.
All AVO work is created to spark curiosity and awaken the senses. Our signature collection of hand-dyed leather upholstery, rugs, tapestries, and tiles are designed for both residential and commercial interiors.
Who We Are
Founded in 2014, AVO is based in the historic Brooklyn Navy Yard. The studio is rooted in the legacy of craft, while constantly pushing the boundaries of materials and bringing bold ideas to life. We value the relationships we build with our clients and the trust that guides every project from start to finish.
